HOW IT STARTED
I started working as a Communication Designer in a small studio. After that I shifted to a well known Portuguese retail sports company as a Graphic and Digital designer, where I worked alongside multiple fields as part of the marketing and e-commerce team. At the end of that journey, I was left as the single designer for all of the Portuguese market. It’s safe to say I’ve learned a lot, it felt like an injection of soft skills! But it didn’t stop there, a globalising process started and I was assigned the job of being the Portuguese design ambassador.

I was in charge of helping both the Portuguese market to adapt to the changes and the global Design team to understand how the process from our side worked while reporting to the Global Design Team Leader. I was soon promoted to be a part of the Global Team as new fields were being created. Although I already did some previous work for web before, this time I was fully working as part of the e-commerce Design team.
I started to work as a UX/UI Designer and realised we were lacking User Experience methodologies, and with no former education on it, I was left feeling frustrated to not be able to defend a user centric approach. So I've decided to take on the challenge of getting educated, and that's where I decided Ironhack was the way to go. Go big or go home right?
